Comodo Launches New Internet Security Checkmark Ensuring Customer Confidence in All eCommerce Transactions
JERSEY CITY, NJ, September 30, 2010 – Comodo, a leading Internet security organization, has implemented a new logo design and seal, which customers can use on their websites protected by Comodo SSL certificates. The design which utilizes a check mark design consistent with Comodo’s firewall products, is scheduled to rollout immediately and was created in order to reposition the Comodo check mark icon more prominently in bold green lettering on every site in order to assure customers the highest level of security protection.
These design changes extend Comodo’s ability to help businesses and their customers secure and manage their most critical information. By creating the green Comodo check mark icon prominently featured within a stylized letter “C“, it helps businesses conducting eCommerce transactions on the Web to display a universal “seal of trust” for their customers to realize that the websites and
transactions they are on are fully protected.
“Delivering a safe and secure online marketplace allowing millions of sellers and buyers to successfully transact on Comodo secured websites is a top priority for us,” said Melih Abdulhayoglu, CEO and chief security officer. “With our focus on security excellence, following our tradition as the first to offer a “corner of trust” in the enterprise SSL marketspace, we continue to be well positioned to help customers secure confidential information as it’s shared across the Internet and around the world.”
Another new addition to Comodo’s security seal options is a patent-pending Video TrustLogo. This provides a brief video on the value of SSL certificates delivered when a visitor clicks on the seal. Comodo believes that by giving visitors another medium to see the trust of a website, visitors will feel more confident.
“We are already seeing an evolution toward ubiquitous eCommerce transactions,” said Abdulhayoglu. “With the combination of HackerProof, BuyerTrust Purchase Protection and security products by Comodo, customers can address security issues as a one-stop-shop for eCommerce. This makes Comodo especially favored by eCommerce merchants, retailers and security-focused organizations in financial services, health care and the federal government.” “With the integration of this new, trusted seal we can deliver on our promise of making data security more visible, intelligent and easy-to-manage for everyone,” he explained.
